Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Super delicious liempo!!! Worth trying when up in Elyu. Place is typical local carenderia setup. No fuzz eatery. Just order, eat and pay. You get free soup. And sometimes you could ask for the dinuguan sauce for dipping if you don't like just the vinegar or gravy."
"Great place that sells Liempo and roasted chicken. You can order mixed, half or whole :)"
"We Ordered the Chicken and Liempo for Takeout, it was good even if it was re heated but probably much better if we ate it Dine In."
"For those seeking an affordable and authentic taste of local cuisine, this eatery, while a simple shanty, delivers satisfying roasted meats and home-cooked dishes. The price point is undeniably budget-friendly. While not boasting air conditioning, which can make midday dining a bit warm. Service can be slow during peak hours but was prompt during a post-lunch visit. The food quality shines, with the roast chicken and liempo being particular standouts. Overall, this spot offers a good experience for those wanting to embrace budget eating and a glimpse into the local lifestyle."
"Solid! Roadside karinderya style. Bagnet and chicken were top tier. The sauce was also good! We had a simple and pretty straightforward meal. A must try"
"The local prices in the Philippines and they are really delicious. I will come every day! Order half chicken, half pork, and rice drinks for two people. It's really delicious."
"We found this place through TikTok while on our way back to Manila after a short trip to Ilocos. It's known for having the best lechon in La Union — and it really lived up to the hype! Unfortunately, the spicy lechon was out of stock during our visit, so we tried the regular pork lechon and chicken instead. Both were flavorful and satisfying. They also serve free soup, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was the presence of flies (ma-langaw), which affected the comfort a bit while dining. Still, the food was delicious and definitely worth stopping by again when passing through LU."
"This humble eatery serves the best lechon manok and liempo in this part of town."
